Job Description

As an Associate Analyst in Deloitte’s USI Global Financial Services – Asset & Liability Management (GFS-ALM) team, you will support the Property Accounting function of the US firm. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the recording, tracking, and maintenance of capital assets in compliance with Deloitte’s internal policies and accounting standards.

This role provides strong foundational exposure to fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure (CAPEX), depreciation, reconciliations, and reporting—making it an excellent entry-level role for commerce graduates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the recording and maintenance of firm-owned capital assets
• Reviewing and approving capital purchase requests
• Processing asset-related invoices and financial transactions
• Managing asset lifecycle activities such as transfers and disposals
• Assisting in month-end and period-end accounting activities
• Generating asset-related reports and MIS data
• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit-readiness at all times

Work You Will Do (Explained Clearly)

Capital Purchase & Invoice Processing

You will review purchase orders related to capital assets using enterprise procurement systems. This includes approving asset requisitions and verifying invoices related to construction or project expenses.

Asset Lifecycle Management

You will help manage fixed assets throughout their lifecycle—from acquisition to depreciation, transfer, and disposal—ensuring correct accounting treatment at every stage.

Reconciliation & Reporting

You will assist in preparing depreciation schedules, MIS reports, and reconciliation statements to ensure asset records align with financial systems.

System Exposure

You will gain hands-on exposure to SAP FI-AA (Fixed Assets Accounting), one of the most widely used enterprise accounting modules globally.

Stakeholder Communication

You will respond to internal and vendor queries related to asset invoices, helping resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

The Team

The Property Accounting team manages the capital assets of Deloitte’s US and Global Financial Services entities. The team works closely with procurement, finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, transparency, and financial accuracy.

Skills Required

Technical & Functional Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Basic understanding of SAP (preferred, not mandatory)

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: B.Com from a recognised university
• Experience: Freshers or with up to 1 year of experience
• Skills: Basic Excel knowledge is mandatory
• Location: Hyderabad
• Work Timings: Typically 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (may vary based on business needs)

Preferred Skills (Optional but Helpful)

• Exposure to accounting internships or finance projects
• Basic knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
• Understanding of fixed asset lifecycle concepts
• Experience working with structured financial data
• Strong documentation and reporting skills

Salary Details

The estimated salary for the Associate Analyst – ALM role at Deloitte ranges between ₹4–₹7 Lakhs Per Annum, depending on academic performance, interview outcome, and role alignment.
